All about ghost leather
One of our most popular special edition materials is called ghost leather. Ghost leather starts out with a light layer of wax sits on the surface, giving the leather its pale, almost chalky appearance. The color underneath begins to show through, slowly and unevenly, shaped by how you actually use the wallet.
High-contact areas darken first. Edges pick up contrast. Flat panels hold onto lighter tones longer. Over time, the wallet shifts from its original look into something deeper, warmer, and completely its own.
This change doesn’t happen all at once, and it doesn’t happen the same way twice. Two wallets that start out identical will age differently depending on how they’re carried, handled, and used. The result is a finish that feels personal rather than preserved.
That’s the appeal of ghost leather. It isn’t meant to stay pristine. It’s meant to tell a story as it wears in, one day at a time.
We have ghost leather that starts out with a white wax and reveals a bright color underneath, and we also have ghost leather that starts out with black wax. Look for our next drop to give it a try yourself!
